My Beginning

After obtaining dual degrees and Psychology and Marketing, I began my early professional career as an Advertising Executive at one NYC's top Ad Agencies. I was young and enthusiastic and quickly became known as the person who got things done.

The corporate world was exhilarating but also exhausting, and as the years passed I felt like my life was passing me by. After spending what felt like eons in corporate America, I realized I was tired of the grind. I was sprinting on a treadmill, pouring my energy into projects that didn't light me up inside.

I began spending more time meditating, journaling, and researching opportunities for a new path forward.

My Journey

I left my job, stored all my belongings, and signed up for a 3-month volunteer expedition based outside of Tulum, Mexico working for a NGO to protect the MesoAmerican barrier reef. While there, I learned to scuba dive, studied coral reef ecology, and taught English at one of the local schools. We were unpaid volunteers living 6 to 8 people in a hut, without running water or electricity, powering up a generator just long enough each night to input the data. This one of a kind experience was absolutely life changing.

When my 3 month contract was up, I knew I didn’t want to go back to a job that made me feel like I was wasting my life. I took stock of my savings and began brainstorming less conventional life choices I took a job as a stewardess living and working on a yacht based out of Newport, RI. so I could save as much money as possible while building a plan. After I had more money saved, I began my adventure with a one way ticket to Thailand where I flew on my own to complete PADI DiveMaster training.

For the next few years I lived out a back, working and volunteering my way around the world. I continued diving and began studying yoga and other healing modalities.

When I finally grew tired of tired of cold showers, sleeping in a tent, and living out of backpack, I moved back to NY.

My Vision

The next part of my life was spent focusing on building wealth and starting a family. I worked as a yoga instructor, travel agent and marketing consultant before leaving the workforce to focus more on spending time my children. Amidst the chaos of parenting, I discovered a passion for writing. After creating travel and parenting blogs for a few years, I published my first women's fiction novel, The Garden of Forgotten Dreams, written under the pseudonym of Avalon Dane. However, despite the health and happiness of my family along with these professional accomplishments, I still felt a lack of true connection and bigger purpose. I wanted to help others live their big, beautiful, dream lives.

It didn't happen overnight but after a lot of inner work, planning and research, Epic Journey Coaching opened its doors. Drawing upon my eclectic background: from steering local startups to Fortune 500 giants, along with extensive training in wellness and mindfulness, I've dedicated myself to working with clients to uncover their unique strengths by understanding their most important challenges and empowering them to craft effective solutions.
